He was born in 1966 in Provatas village, Serres. He has studied Law at the Law School of the Democritus University of Thrace. He is a Supreme Court lawyer at the Court of First Instance of Serres, since 1996.
He was an elected member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Lawyers of Serres from 2002 until 2005 and was re-elected in the recent elections of 2014. Since 2006 he has been elected three times Head of the Board of Directors of the Organization for the Mutual Aid and Support of Serres Lawyers.
In the Regional Elections of 2014, he was elected Regional Councillor of the Regional Unit of Serres, while from 2017 until May 2019 he was the President of the Regional Council of Central Macedonia. Last but not least, he won first place in the Regional Elections of May 2019, thus becoming Governor of the Regional Unit of Serres.
