Nikolaos Asproulis

Nikolaos Asproulis is a Doctor of Theology and serves as the Deputy Director of the Volos Academy for Theological Studies, which operates as a Research Center under the Holy Metropolis of Demetrias and Almyros. He is also a lecturer at the Hellenic Open University. Dr. Asproulis oversees the ecological programs and initiatives of the Holy Metropolis and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Renewable Energy Community of the Metropolis. He has authored numerous articles and books published in both Greek and international journals, and he has contributed to collective volumes. Additionally, he has published five monographs and edited more than ten books on theological, philosophical, and eco-theological topics. His research interests center on the history and theology of the modern Orthodox church, political theology, and eco-theology. He has taught ecotheology in both undergraduate and graduate programs at the Greek Orthodox School of the Holy Cross in Boston, USA, as well as at the University of Tartu in Estonia.
