Dr. Georges Prevelakis

Emeritus Professor of Geography and Geopolitics at the Panthéon-Sorbonne University (Paris 1), Archon Didaskalos tou Genous of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, and Distinguished Visiting Professor at Hellenic American University.

He holds a degree in Architecture from the National Technical University of Athens and a Ph.D.  in Geography and Planning from the Sorbonne.  Professor at the Sorbonne from 1984 till 2018, he also directed the Constantine Karamanlis Chair in Hellenic and European Studies at the Fletcher School (2003–2005). He served twice as Greece’s Ambassador to the OECD (2013–2015 and 2019–2023).

Since 2023, he has been organizing the Applied Franco-Hellenic Dialogues (dialogues-francohelleniques-appliques.com), in collaboration with Michel Foucher.

His areas of specialization include theory of Geography and Geopolitics, the Geopolitics of Europe, the Balkans, and the Eastern Mediterranean and the Geopolitics of diasporas.

Dr. Antonia Trichopoulou

Dr. Trichopoulou is Professor Emeritus, School of Medicine, University of Athens. She has served as president of the Federation of the European Nutrition Societies (FENS) and as chairperson or key member of numerous Greek, European Commission and World Health Organization Committees.

She has received numerous honours and awards and was decorated by the President of the Greek Republic with the Golden Cross of Honor for her work in nutrition and public health. In 2011, she received the Federation of European Nutrition Societies (FENS) Award for her “outstanding nutritionist career”.

Her scientific work has focused on public health nutrition and nutrition epidemiology, with emphasis on the health effects of the Mediterranean diet and traditional foods. She has been included in the 2014 Thomson Reuters list of the Highly Cited Researchers in the field of Social Sciences, and in 2018 has been named a Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate Analytics.

Dr. Dimitrios Skuras

Dimitris Skuras is the Vice Rector of Economics and Planning at the University of Patras and Professor at the Department of Economics. He studied at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Universities of Aberdeen and Essex in the United Kingdom.

His research is in natural resources and environmental economics, particularly analysing the impact of agricultural and rural development policies on GHG emissions, on the use and quality of water and soil resources, and on biodiversity and ecosystem services. His work has appeared in over 100 articles, studies and books. In 2008 his work was awarded the Academy of Athens award in the “Class of Ethical and Political Sciences”. He has developed programs and studies for the European Union, the OECD, the United Nations (FAO) and many government agencies in Europe, Latin America and Africa.

Mr. Panos Oplopoios

Panos Oplopoios was born in Katerini, Pieria, grew up and studied in Thessaloniki; and since 2004 he lives permanently in Athens. He is married, father of a 29-year-old daughter who lives and works permanently in Oxford UK.

He completed his studies as an Electronic – Digital Systems and Telecommunications Engineer and has done further training in telecommunications and technology systems abroad.

He has served as a director in various large technology companies in the private sector for a number of years from 1990-2004, such as: Space Hellas.

Since 1992 he was Director of Information Technology at the Macedonian Press Agency where later, when the Athens and Macedonian News Agency (ANA/MPA), the National News Agency of Greece, was consolidated and created, he served as Director of New Technologies and Internet in Athens.

He has been a specialized journalist on technology issues at ANA/MPA, but also in print and electronic media of the private sector.

At the same time, he maintained as a producer a series of daily radio shows for 6 years on the radio of ANA/MPA, the «Praktoreio FM 104,9».

He has served as Special Advisor – Associate of Ministers on Technology and Innovation issues at the Ministry of Macedonia – Thrace, the Deputy Ministry of Sports, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Development, the Ministry of Tourism, the Secretary General for Industry and the Secretary General for Press and Media.

In his area of responsibility, he has undertaken the coordinator and creator of IT and technology projects in Greece and abroad.

Today he continues as a Journalist at the Athens and Macedonian News Agency (ANA-MPA). He is a member of Journalists’ Union of the Athens Daily Newspapers (JOUADN).

Mr. Lambros Kalarrytis

Studied Business Administration (Management- Organizational Behavior and Marketing-Marketing Management) (Bachelor), International Relations (Post Graduate Diploma) and Public Administration (MPA)

Working for more than two decades as a Political and Diplomatic Editor/Analyst in Newspapers, TV Stations, Radio Stations, Magazines and News Websites, as Broadcaster. Served as Managing Editor in Political – Diplomatic Magazines & Radio Stations and as Editor in Chief in Radio, Magazines, Newspapers.

The last 7 years hosts as Radio Broadcaster a daily two hours radio program in Parapolitika 90,1 Radio Station, (diplomacy, politics, security issues, economy, international relations), also editor in the newspaper Parapolitika for strategic and security issues

Participating in TV programs as commentator/analyst for political, diplomatic, defense and economic issues. Has covered political/diplomatic/economic summits, meetings and events (EU, NATO, UN) and participated in media missions and assignments in Europe, the Balkans, the Middle East and the US.

Appointed Deputy Mayor (elected municipal councilor) in Zografou City, Athens, for Public and International Relations, and Citizens’ Service.

Dr. Raz Hamami

Dr. Raz Hamami, PhD, is a FoodTech expert with a PhD in Biotechnology Engineering, specializing in cellular agriculture and alternative proteins. With experience in cultivated meat and sustainable agri-food solutions, Dr. Hamami is advancing high-tech innovations for food security and sustainability.

A member of the Network of Cellular Agriculture (NCA) and founder of Cell Agriculture Israel, he fosters collaboration and research in cellular agriculture. As a lecturer, he leads educational programs that inspire students in biotechnology and FoodTech. Based in Greece and Israel, and active in the Israel-Greece Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Hamami is committed to building partnerships that harness both nations’ strengths in technology and sustainable agriculture.

Dr. Spyros Fountas

Dr. Spyros Fountas is Associate Professor at Agricultural University of Athens and Editor-in-Chief in the ELSEVIER journal “Computers and Electronics in Agriculture” (IF: 3.84) since 2014. He holds an MSc from Cranfield University UK in Information Technology, and PhD from Copenhagen University, Denmark in Systems Analysis on Precision Agriculture.

He was Visiting Scholar at Purdue University, USA. He has been keynote speaker in several conferences among others in the International Horticultural Congress (IHC 18) in Istanbul, Turkey in August 2018 on “Applications of new technologies in horticultural crops”, in the 17th European Weed Research Society (EWRS), in France in June 2015 on “Big data analytics for crop protection”; in European Conference on Precision Agriculture (ECPA) in Spain in July 2013 on “Application of Precision Agriculture technology in high value crops”.

He has coordinated 3 H2020 projects, Smart-AKIS, GATES and currently OPTIMA on optimized Integrated Pest Management for precise detection and control of plant diseases. He is also participating in 22 other H2020 funded projects. He has 130 papers, including book chapters, journal papers and conference papers and 4000 citations (Google scholar, April 2021).

Dr. Spyridon Flogaitis

He is Professor of Administrative Law at the Law School of the University of Athens, Attorney at Law at the High Court and the Council of State of Greece, former President of the United Nations Administrative Tribunal and former Caretaker Alternate Minister for Foreign Affairs (2015) and Former Caretaker Minister of Interior, Greece (in 2007and 2009). He is also an Honorary Fellow at Wolfson College of the University of Cambridge and Doctor Honoris Causa at the NSPSPA in Bucharest, Romania, the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon in Portugal, at the Titu Majorescu Univeristy in Bucharest, Romania, the State University of Mariupol in Ukraine, and the USPEE in Chisinau, Moldavia. He is Vice-President at the Appeals Board of the European Space Agency, Member of the Appeals Board of  EUMETSAT, Member of the Appeals Board of the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts. He is Judge at the Administrative Tribunal of EBRD and holds the Chair of the Joint of the Appeals Board at IFAD in the UN. He is former Vice-President of the Organization of Intellectual Property, former Judge at the Supreme Court of Greece, former Arthur Goodhart Professor at the Faculty of Law, Cambridge University, former Yorke Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the Faculty of Law in Cambridge University.

He was born in Lefkas (Greece) and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Athens with a degree in Law. He holds a PhD in Law from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas and a PhD in History from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and a degree (Diplôme) of the École Pratique des Hautes Etudes-IVème Section, Histoire et Philologie.

He speaks fluently English, French, German, Italian and Greek and is the author of many publications in the area of public law.

He was awarded with the distinction of Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur of the French Republic, the distinction of Cavaliere dell’Ordine di Merito of the Italian Republic, the La Croix d’Officier de l’Ordre du Merite de Hongrie and  was honored as Grande-Oficial da Ordem do Infante D. Henrique from the Portuguese Republic
