“Quo Vadis Greek & European Agriculture” in the digital era
Climate Crisis – Food Security – Blue & Green Economies
The 7th international AgriBusiness Forum entitled “Quo Vadis Greek & European Agriculture” will be held in the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry, on 21-22 November 2024, gathering high-level audience from businesses, embassies, cooperatives, policymakers, farmers, researchers & academia.
In this year’s edition, 60 prominent speakers in 8 high-caliber sessions will delve into meaningful dialogues and debates about the challenges burdening agrifood & environmental systems, the climate crisis, the uncertainties on food security, the disruptions to the supply chains, the consumers, the overexploitation of natural resources, the green & sustainable cities, while will remark the lack of brave policies with a holistic approach and the overdemanding EU Green Deal strategy.

In the 1st session «European & national policies» the Israeli Ambassador Mr. Noam Katz, Brazil’s Ambassador Mr. Paulo Roberto França, and Mr. Philippe Merillon, Counsellor Agricultural Affairs for Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, and Dpt. Secretary-General at the Ministry of Agriculture & Food Sovereignty of France will discuss food security in the context of the climate crisis.
The 2nd session «Agricultural production & resilience of agri-food systems» will address the challenges of primary production and agriculture due to national policies and the Green Deal. It will further explore whether any solution at the end of the tunnel appears satisfactory for the future of farmers, the people, the environment, and food safety.
The 3rd session «Livestock under pressure», amidst the problems plaguing thousands of farmers and processors, will unfold the requirements and means for animal breeding and welfare, the traceability in imports, the quality controls in the dairy and meat sector, and the prerequisites of the CAP 2023-2027 .
The first day will conclude with the 4th session «Climate-Environmental challenges-risks» focusing on the climate crisis and the fast-growing and more often weather extremes hitting the planet. It will also focus on the ability to predict such events through high technologies, on ways to secure life & property, and on the limitations for increased public compensations of agricultural production in the near future.

The 5th session «Green & Sustainable Cities» will delve into the issues burdening the daily life of the people and what city residents may hope for, in terms of quality of life, greening management and expanding spaces for urban greenery, green innovation, reduction of CO2, tidiness, and noise rejection.
The 6th session «Business sector’s challenges» will unfold the prevailing conditions in businesses, including product development, cost and supply chain management, competition, geopolitics, and the stressful choices of the consumers across different market & price channels.
The 7th session «Transition & adaptation to the «blue» & «green» economy» will portray the imprint for responsible & sustainable economic development, the circular economy, the protection of the natural and marine environment, and the use of high-technology in meeting these goals.
The 8th session «The new order of A.I & technologies in agri-food systems» will lead to actors’ initiatives for boosting innovation, enhancing knowledge, creating ecosystems, showcasing models for incubation – interconnection and extroversion of start-ups, and providing examples from Europe & Israel, also from world’s second largest economy, China.
The AgriBusiness Forum 2024 will conclude with the 9th session, where all moderators will provide a summary of the panels and the conference outcomes. AgriBusiness Forum 2024 reports will be brought to the attention of all relevant national & international Organizations for further consideration.
