A. Flying to Athens for getting to Trikala

B. Delegates transportation in Trikala to/from the conference venue

  • Delegates will be provided complimentary transportation between the accredited hotels and the conference venue.
  • Round-trip transfers will be offered in the morning and the evening on Friday 19/11/2021, as well as in the morning and the afternoon on Saturday 20/11/2021.
  • Delegates should observe the announcements to be listed at hotels’ reception and the conference venue

C. Visa Information & Requirements

D. Letter of Invitation
Individuals need an official Letter of Invitation, it can be requested upon registration to the conference. Such Letter of Invitation will be provided within a week of your request and following to the payment of your registration. The Letter of Invitation does not financially obligate the Conference organisers in any way. All expenses incurred in relation to the Conference are the sole responsibility of the attendee.

E. About Trikala

Trikala is a pioneering ‘smart city‘ in recent years, being the entire town almost covered by a free wi-fi zone. Trikala is built on the ruins of the ancient city of Trikke, an important center in antiquity that was considered to be the birthplace and home of Asclepius, the God of healing. It was mentioned in Homer’s Iliad that the city sent 30 ships to Troy. You can see the ruins of the Asklepion, the ancient temple of healing with its important mosaics as well as the Roman Baths.

Trikala is a paradise for people who ride bicycles and it is one of the primary modes of transportation for locals and visitors. Among its beauties features Tsitsanis Museum, dedicated to the most famous prolific singer songwriters in the history of popular music. The renovated museum is housed in a 16th century Ottoman bath house which served as a prison in more recent times. The Justinian Fortress sits on a hill in the center of the old city, while on the east side is the 17th Century Clock being the symbol of the city. Manavika area hosts the best restaurants and cafes and Asklipiou str. is the commercial district of the city. At the end of the street is the 19th Century impressive historical building of the Railway Station while the Mosque is a fine example of Ottoman era.
