He was born in 1953 in Thessaloniki and has studied Business Administration at the University of Macedonia.

He had been Head of Culture at the Prefecture of Serres, at the Prefectural Enterprise for Culture of Serres, as well as at the Municipal Enterprise for Culture of the Municipality of Serres, before becoming Head of the Department of Social Solidarity and Culture of the Regional Unit of Serres, a position he holds until today.

He is a painter and member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece.

He lives and works in Serres, where he operates the art gallery “Armos” since 1988.

Julie is Geo Routes Cultural Institute’s Member’s executive, also Member of the Board of Directors of Gnomon Performance SA.

She is involved to the planning, organization and implementation of Geo Routes’ cultural journeys and participates to the conferences, symposia, trips and events as well as to the Balkans & Black Sea Cooperation Forum.

She has studied accounting and has worked at HSBC Securities SA for 20 years.

She speaks English and a few Hindi.

He has studied Chemistry at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, entering with the highest grades in Greece that year, graduating with honors and winning scholarships throughout his studies. That is why for 35 years he had been responsible for the Technical Inspections of the Department where he had been working.

However, for the last 17 consecutive years of his career at the local administration, he had also been Head of Tourism at the Prefecture of Serres which was later transformed to Regional Unit of Serres, being exclusively responsible for the tourist promotion of the region of Serres. There, he created from scratch the Tourism Office, which was later upgraded to Tourism Department due to its important role.

For the last 5 years he has been voluntarily offering his services to the Tourism Office of the Regional Unit of Serres, being the Vice-Regional Governor’s honorary special consultant in tourism.

He speaks English.
