Ms. Fotini Arampatzi

Fotini Arampatzi was born in Serres, to a traditional Greek family of newspaper editors with a long-standing involvement in public affairs. She graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Law School, which she attended as a distinguished student, and she holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Macedonia. She has attended training courses at the London School of Economics in Political Science and e-Business.

In 1997 she was selected by the European Commission to work as journalist and television producer in the European Commission News Agency, DG 10, in Brussels, involving tasks such as covering the Commission’s workings, the European Parliament in Strasbourg and ECOFIN.

In 1998 she created the regional informative television channel DIKTYO TV in Serres, which she directed until 2012. She has worked as television producer for Mega, ANT1, Star, Alpha, Alter and ERT3 television channels and as journalist for the “Serraikon Tharros” and “Akritiki Foni” newspapers.

She has developed a rich charity and environmental agenda and has spearheaded the organizing of many social initiatives in the town of Serres.

She was first elected as MP for the Prefecture of Serres with the New Democracy party in May 2012 and again in June 2012, January 2015 and September 2015. During the current parliamentary period, she is member of the Standing Committee on Production and Trade of the Hellenic Parliament for the fifth consecutive term, as well as of the Special Permanent Committee on Greek Diaspora, while she has served as member of the Parliamentary Committees on European Affairs and Parliament Rules, as well as the Francophone Committee. In addition, she served as member of the 11-member-strong Committee of ND on the Constitutional Revision.

From March 2015 to January 2016 she was appointed Head of Section for Agricultural Development and Foods in the ND party. From February 2016 to October 2016 she was appointed Head of Section for Tourism in the ND party. Since February 2017, she has been reappointed Head of Section for Agricultural Development and Foods in the same party.

She speaks English, French and Italian.

Mr. Neoklis Stamkos

Neoklis Stamkos is one of the leaders of alternative financing of MSMEs including micro-lending in Greece and is in charge of microSTARS project. Neoklis is Chief Financial Officer at Business and Cultural Development Centre (KEPA) and was the founder and project manager of the KEPA office in Brussels.

He received Microfinance Center award of Financial Inclusion Ambassador for his efforts to stimulate microfinance in Greece and he is a Certified Expert in Microfinance, by Frankfurt School of Finance and Management.

He has been working in KEPA for 10 years, in various positions, starting as supervisor of evaluations of investment projects of ROP / CSF III, responsible of the department of inspections at ongoing projects of NSFR 2007-2013 “1st call for Strengthening of Micro and Small Enterprises”.

Ms. Maria Karathanassi

Born in Athens in 1966. She studied Political Sciences and Public Administration at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, completed postgraduate studies in European Integration at the University of Amsterdam and holds an MBA from the Athens University of Economics and Business.

She worked for Philip Morris Hellas for many years, and since 1998 he has been working with Alpha Bank initially at the Marketing Division as responsible of Housing and Consumer Loans and since 2006 in the Small Business Banking Division.

In 2013, she was appointed Assistant Manager of the same Division with responsibility the creation and development of products for Small Enterprises and for the provision of Development Programs to SMEs in cooperation with National and European Institutions.

Mr. Panos Theodorou

Panos Theodorou is heading the strategy & analysis sector in the Small Business Segment General Division in Eurobank. The Segment serves enterprises with turnover up to €5 mio, aiming at a holistic approach towards entrepreneurship, by creating tailored solutions to address sector or segment-specific needs for development and everyday transactions.

Panos has been working in Eurobank since 1998, having served as branch manager, regional manager as well as commercial director, Small Business General Division from 2009 to 2018.

He was born in 1971 in Kiato Korinthias. He holds a BSc degree in business management from Bradford Business School and an MBA from Alba Graduate School. He is the father of one child.

Mr. Ioannis Chaniotakis

Ioannis Chaniotakis is a banking professional with over 20 years of experience. He has a diverse experience in all aspects of financing agricultural operations and –as the director of agricultural sector operations development of Piraeus Bank– is now leading the bank’s contract farming financing activities.

He has a BSc in agricultural economics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, an MSc from the University of London UK and a PhD in marketing from the University of the Aegean. He has worked for the Agricultural Bank of Greece, ΑΤΕCards and Loumidis S.A. (Nestlé Hellas).

He has been tutor in marketing in the University of the Aegean. His publications appear in journals such as: Journal of Product and Brand Management, International Journal of Retail & Distribution Management, Journal of Food Products Marketing, Managing Service Quality, Journal of Financial Services Marketing, Journal of Customer Behaviour, International Journal of Bank Marketing etc.

Mr. Alexandros Dimitrakopoulos

Alexandros is a Mandate Manager with the European Investment Fund (EIF) for the last 2 years where he has been involved with European Structural Funds in Greece and Cyprus, provides funding for projects that help to achieve EU aims. In addition, Alex has 18 years of experience on financial planning, analysis, annual strategic planning and business decision support, including maintaining and developing comprehensive modelling tools to facilitate sales forecasting, consolidation and evaluation for domestic and exports business.

Past employers include ABN Amro Bank in Luxembourg, where he currently resides, Alpha Bank, Hellenic Bank, and Michaniki Group of Companies in Athens, and Schroder Wertheim & Co. in New York City. Alexandros holds a master’s degree of Business Administration in Finance from the Kogod School of Business, American University of Washington D.C. and an undergraduate degree in Economics from the Clark University, Boston area.

Dr. Philip Papadopoulos

Dr. Philip Papadopoulos holds a PhD from London School of Economics and is currently the Director of the Strategic Project Management Office of the American Farm School (AFS). In this capacity he is responsible for the Agrifood Entrepreneurship Centres run by AFS in the cities of Thessaloniki and Kalamata, and oversees training and consultancy projects in over thirty locations throughout Greece. Building and managing multi-actor alliances between research institutes, civil society institutions and the real economy is one of his core activities.

His fields of interest include Consumer Behavior related to the Mediterranean Diet, Alternative Tourism, Food Anthropology, Entrepreneurship, E-commerce, Organizational Culture & Climate, Leadership and Management, including motivation and performance management.

Ms. Effie Lazaridou

Effie has been appointed Managing Director of the ‘Recharging the Youth: New Agriculture for a New Generation’ program in June 2018. This is an innovative multi-year project implemented in Greece through the generous support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation and led by Rutgers – The State University of New Jersey, in partnership with the Agricultural University of Athens and the American Farm School,.

Effie is a brand and marketing strategy expert, specializing in the Agrofood, Culture and Tourism sectors, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex international initiatives. Among others, she led landmark projects of national importance, such as Destination Greece’s brand and marketing strategy, the largest communication consultancy project ever initiated in the country, and Greece’s Wine Sector’s first ever international branding & strategic marketing plan. She also directed numerous challenging projects for multinationals, cooperatives, and SMEs in South Eastern Europe.

Effie has a diverse academic background in Chemical Engineering, Music, Cultural Management and Marketing. She is also a certified business coach and trainer, an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Marketing London and an Associate Certified Coach by the International Coach Federation. In 2017 she was selected as mentor at the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women’s Mentoring Women in Business Program.

Dr. Spyridon Mamalis

Spyridon Mamalis is Associate Professor of Marketing and Director of the Laboratory of Marketing and Development of New Products at East Macedonia and Thrace Institute of Technology. Dr Mamalis holds a BSc in agricultural Economics, an MSc degree in Food Marketing and a PhD in Food Marketing.

He teaches as visiting professor undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the Department of Business Administration of the Department of Economics of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, postgraduate courses of the Democritus University οf Thrace and is a member of the Associate Educational Personnel at the Hellenic Open University.

He is a member of the Board of Geotechnical Chamber of Greece since 2003 and President of the Board since 2011. Also, he is a member of the Board of the European Confederation of Agronomists Associations, of the Board of M.A.I.CH and of the Board of ELGO DHMHTRA.

Ms. Siwarde J. SAP

Ms Siwarde J. Sap has been involved in strategy and business development, combining the role of forward thinking analyst and positive catalyst with realistic target setting, for over 25 years.

Since 2010, she holds the position of Senior Advisor Economic Policy Affairs at the Netherlands Embassy in Greece. Her focus lies on regional geopolitics, investment and trade policy affairs, financial services, energy, agribusiness, transport and logistics.

Ms Sap holds a Master’s degree in Dutch Civil law, with a specialization in European law, from Leiden University and has fulfilled senior management positions at leading companies. She is fluent in several languages including Greek.

Ms Sap is Vice Chair of the Balkans & Black Sea Cooperation Forum Steering Committee, Vice Chair of the Economic & Commercial Diplomats Club in Greece and advisor to Orange Grove, an incubator established by the Netherlands Embassy. As co-initiator of the Balkans & Black Sea Cooperation Forum, Ms Sap focuses on international and institutional affairs thereby giving an impulse to the implementation and the ongoing development of this international network.
