Το AgriBusiness Thessaly Summit που διεξήχθη στα Τρίκαλα-Θεσσαλίας στις 19-20/11/2021 με θέμα «τo μέλλον του Θεσσαλικού Κάμπου στην ψηφιακή εποχή», χαρακτηρίστηκε από πληθώρα οργανισμών, φορέων και επιχειρήσεων ως το σημαντικότερο γεγονός που έγινε ποτέ για τις προκλήσεις, τις ευκαιρίες και τις πολιτικές που πρέπει να εφαρμοστούν για την σταθερότητα και την βιωσιμότητα των αγροδιατροφικών συστημάτων της Θεσσαλίας.

Στην Θεσσαλία, όπου παράγεται το 10% της αγροτικής παραγωγής, το 17% των βοοειδών, το 22% των χοίρων, και το 13% της αιγοπροβατοτροφίας της Ελλάδας, τα βασικά συμπεράσματα-μηνύματα που εξέπεμψαν οι ομιλητές του συνεδρίου, συνοψίζονται σε 5 ενότητες:

Α) ΚΛΙΜΑ-ΕΔΑΦΟΣ-ΚΑΛΛΙΕΡΓΕΙΕΣ

• Απαραίτητη η επικαιροποίηση του εδαφολογικού χάρτη της χώρας και η επαναστελέχωση των Ινστιτούτων Χαρτογράφησης και Ταξινόμησης Εδαφών
• Επιτακτική η ανάγκη μείωσης των εκπομπών διοξειδίου του άνθρακα για την αντιμετώπιση των ακραίων καιρικών φαινομένων
• Από τα 5 εκατ. στρέμματα, η διάβρωση και υποβάθμιση του εδάφους έχει οδηγήσει σε ερημοποίηση την ανατολική πεδιάδα (750.000 στρ. στο Νομό Λάρισας και 1,2 εκατ. στρ. στη Θεσσαλία)
• Οι 4 μεγάλες καλλιέργειες (καλαμπόκι, βαμβάκι, σκληρό σιτάρι και ηλίανθος), συνεχίζουν και μπορούν να είναι βιώσιμες
• Σχεδόν ανύπαρκτη η εξέλιξη των θερμοκηπίων στην Ελλάδα, συγκριτικά με την Τουρκία και τα Βαλκάνια. Αναγκαία η επέκταση των καλλιεργειών υπό κάλυψη (θερμοκηπίων – διχτυοκηπίων) για την κάλυψη της ζήτησης λαχανικών –ειδικά το καλοκαίρι- λόγω τουρισμού.
• Η ελληνική λαχανοκομία κερδίζει συνεχώς αγορές στο εξωτερικό με μεγάλα περιθώρια επέκτασης. Η βιολογική παραγωγή κηπευτικών αποτελεί τομέα με ιδιαίτερα χαρακτηριστικά αλλά και σημαντικές προοπτικές για τη Θεσσαλία. Η καλλιέργεια σόγιας συγκαταλέγεται σε αυτές.
• Οι θερμοκηπιακές καλλιέργειες μπορούν να είναι πρότυπο κυκλικής οικονομίας και καινοτομίας. Αναλόγως της μονάδας προσφέρουν λύσεις επάλληλων καλλιεργειών, επαναχρησιμοποίηση των απορροών των υδροπονικών καλλιεργειών, αξιοποίηση υγρών αποβλήτων για καλλιέργεια μκροφυκών, χρησιμοποίηση αυτών για παραγωγή βιοντίζελ και συμπληρωμάτων ιχθυοτροφών κά.

Β) ΖΩΙΚΟ ΚΕΦΑΛΑΙΟ-ΓΑΛΑΚΤΟΠΑΡΑΓΩΓΗ-ΙΧΘΥΟΚΑΛΛΙΕΡΓΕΙΕΣ

• Η προβατοτροφία πρέπει να εκλαμβάνεται ως ενιαίο σύνολο με τη φυτική παραγωγή.
• Το 75% των νοσημάτων του ανθρώπου που έχουν αναδυθεί τις τελευταίες δεκαετίες προέρχονται από τα ζώα. Το 2017 στην Ελλάδα πουλήθηκαν 143 τόνοι αντιμικροβιακών για ανθρώπινη χρήση και 117 τόνοι για χρήση σε ζώα (212.6 mg/kg βιομάζας και 93.9 mg/kg βιομάζας, αντίστοιχα).
• Το βελτιωμένο ΑΡΤΕΜΙΣ 2.0 είναι η απάντηση στην ολοκληρωμένη ψηφιοποίηση της αλυσίδας του ελληνικού και εισαγόμενου γάλακτος. Βασίζεται σε υπερσύγχρονες τεχνολογίες, έχει περιορίσει τις ελληνοποιήσεις και έχει βελτιώσει την αυτοματοποίηση με συνολικό όφελος στην αλυσίδα του γάλακτος άνω των 144 εκατ. €.
• Στις ιχθυοκαλλιέργειες το Process Analytical Technology σήμερα καταγράφει την φρεσκότητα, την μικροβιακή δραστηριότητα, την προέλευση, την αυθεντικότητα και το περιβαλλοντικό αποτύπωμα των αλιευμάτων.

Γ) ΤΕΧΝΟΛΟΓΙΕΣ-ΕΞΑΓΩΓΕΣ

• Η αύξηση των εξαγωγών προϋποθέτει πιστοποιημένα προϊόντα και επένδυση των εταιρειών σε υψηλές τεχνολογίες
• Η ευφυής διαχείριση της Centaur (μέτρηση παραγωγής, παρακολούθηση αποθηκευμένων προϊόντων, ιχνηλασιμότητα, πρόληψη ασθενειών, πλάνο απεντομώσεων, συστήματα αερισμού κά) δίνουν σημαντικά οφέλη στον παραγωγό, στη βιομηχανία και στον τελικό καταναλωτή.
• Η ευφυής γεωργία συντελεί στην μέτρηση εδαφικών και φυτικών δεικτών, υποστηρίζοντας τον παραγωγό στην ορθή διαχείριση του αγρού, στην ποιοτική παραγωγή και στην ανάλυση του κύκλου ζωής των προϊόντων. Περαιτέρω συμβάλει στην ορθολογική εφαρμογή λιπάσματος, στη βέλτιστη άρδευση και στην ολοκληρωμένη φυτοπροστασία.
• Το σήμα ποιότητας πρέπει να εκλαμβάνεται ως προαπαιτούμενο για την πώληση αγροτικών προϊόντων, αλλά και διαβατήριο για την διακίνησή τους από τον παραγωγό στον  καταναλωτή. Το AFQ αποτελεί όπλο πιστοποίησης στα χέρια των παραγωγών και στην προστιθέμενη αξία των προϊόντων.

Δ) ΥΔΑΤΙΝΟΙ ΠΟΡΟΙ

• Το υδατικό έλλειμμα και η προσαρμογή στις συνθήκες της κλιματικής αλλαγής επιτάσσει την αύξηση του υδατικού δυναμικού, την κατασκευή νέων ταμιευτήρων και λιμνοδεξαμενών εντός της λεκάνης του Πηνειού ποταμού, τη μερική εκτροπή του Αχελώου, την αναδιάρθρωση καλλιεργειών, την βελτίωση των υφιστάμενων δικτύων μεταφοράς και διανομής νερού.
• Απαραίτητη η τεχνική καθοδήγηση των αγροτών από επιστήμονες για την ορθή χρήση του νερού (δημιουργία Γραφείων άρδευσης). Χρέωση του νερού σύμφωνα με τον καταναλισκόμενο όγκο, αυστηρός έλεγχος στην αδειοδότηση νέων γεωτρήσεων και στη λειτουργία των υφισταμένων, εισαγωγή του περιβαλλοντικού τέλους και του κόστους χρήσης φυσικών πόρων.
• Το «ΥΔΩΡ 2.0» του ΥΠΑΑΤ αφορά σε μεγάλες και μεσαίες εγγειοβελτιωτικές παρεμβάσεις (χρηματοδοτούμενες από το ΠΑΑ, το Ταμείο Ανάκαμψης και ΣΔΙΤ) ώστε να εξασφαλίζεται η ορθολογική διαχείριση των υδατικών πόρων.

Ε) ΠΑΡΑΓΩΓΟΙ-ΕΠΙΧΕΙΡΗΜΑΤΙΚΟΤΗΤΑ

• Ο σύγχρονος αγρότης οφείλει να δει τον εαυτό του ως επιχειρηματία, να επενδύσει στη μαγική λέξη «συνέργειες», και να λογίζει ότι η χρηματοδότηση της ΕΕ (αν και σήμερα δεδομένη), θα εισάγει προϋποθέσεις και θα βαίνει μειούμενη.
• Η ανανέωση του αγροτικού πληθυσμού πρέπει να αποτελεί εθνικό στόχο. Σήμερα το 65% των αγροτών είναι άνω των 50 ετών, το 29% μεταξύ 35-50 ετών και μόνο το 6% μεταξύ 20-35 ετών.
• Η γνώση και η καινοτομία στην Ελλάδα δεν υστερεί. Αντίθετα εκεί που υπάρχει σημαντική υστέρηση, είναι η μεταφορά γνώσης. Ισχυρή σύσταση η αναδιανομή των διαθέσιμων πόρων για την εκπαίδευση των αγροτών και η κατάργηση των ιστορικών δικαιωμάτων.
• Η παγκοσμιοποίηση και οι διεθνείς συμφωνίες για την παραγωγή και διάθεση αγροτικών προϊόντων επιβάλουν την προσαρμογή των αγροτικών εκμεταλλεύσεων σε σύγχρονες επιχειρήσεις που παράγουν ασφαλή ποιοτικά προϊόντα με ταυτόχρονη προστασία του περιβάλλοντος.
• Τα χρηματοδοτικά εργαλεία που έχει στη διάθεση του ο παραγωγός σήμερα είναι υπεραρκετά. Η ΕΤΕ, είτε απευθείας, είτε συνδυαστικά με το ταμείο εγγυήσεων, το ΕΙF, το Ταμείο Ανάκαμψης, παρέχει ολοκληρωμένες λύσεις για κάθε επίπεδο εκμετάλλευσης.
• Το Υπουργείο Περιβάλλοντος & Ενέργειας ανακοίνωσε ότι για φωτοβολταικά μέχρι 100KWh, οι κατά κύριο επάγγελμα αγρότες θα λαμβάνουν τιμή 0,80€/KWh, έναντι των ≈0,62€/KWh που ισχύει σε άλλες  περιπτώσεις.
• Ο αγροδιατροφικός τομέας βρίσκεται στην προτεραιότητα των Επιμελητηρίων της Θεσσαλίας. Μάλιστα ο συνδυασμός αγροδιατροφή και τουρισμός δίνουν σοβαρά πολλαπλασιαστικά οφέλη.

The 4^th International edition of the AgriBusiness Forum 2021 that held in Athens-Greece (Benaki Museum) has been successfully concluded on 6-7 October 2021, having rolled clear outputs for the future of agriculture in the digital era.

Chapter-1 “The future of agrifood systems in view of the outcomes from the United Nation’s Food Systems Summit 2021” focused on CAP 2021-2027 in the light of sustainable agriculture, environmental protection, Europe’s recovery post-COVID-19 and farmers’ support in order they can meet societies’ demands. Day-1 was concluded with Chapter-5 “Agritourism, Rural development, Mediterranean diet, Local products” being a topic that since 2019 AgriBusiness Forum pushes stakeholders for joining forces about interconnecting tourism with the primary sector. Chapter focused on the effects of the pandemic on the supply chain of catering sector, the nutritional value of the Mediterranean and Greek diet, on the initiatives of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, and on the evolution of the agritourism in the Netherlands in terms of GDP and local development. The second day of the AgriBusinsss Forum 2021, Thursday 7/10/2021, opened with the welcome remarks addressed by Ms. Alia El-Yassir, UN WOMEN Regional Director, Representative to Turkey, Europe and Central Asia.

In Chapter-6 “Smart farming, processing & circular economy: Precision agriculture, Α.Ι., sustainable biorefineries” were presented the prospects and the challenges in the adoption of digital technologies in the agrifood chain, the new solutions in precision agriculture, the online sensors across big-scale production lines and what biorefineries do in terms of bio-economy, waste management and food consumption. Panelists: Dr. George Stylios, Deputy Minister of Rural Development & Food, Dr. Spyros Fountas, Associate Professor, Agricultural University of Athens, Dr. Kalliopi Chalkou, Group Food Safety & Suppliers Quality Manager, Coca Cola Hellenic, Dr. Apostolos Koutinas, Associate Professor, Food Science & Human Nutrition, Agricultural University of Athens, Dr. Philip Papadopoulos, Director, Strategic Project Management Office, American Farm School. Moderator was Dr. Charalambos Kasimis, Professor, Agricultural University of Athens and fm. Secretary General to the Ministry of Agriculture & Food.

Chapter-7 “Financial instruments for efficient & sustainable agribusiness” dealt with the financial instruments of the Rural Development Program (Pillar II CAP), answered the question whether the financial instruments can improve the competitiveness of Greek agriculture, presented the opportunities created by the Just Transition Development Plan and demonstrated National Bank of Greece interests in supporting innovative scale-ups of the agrifood sector. Panelists: Dr. Konstantinos Baginetas, Secretary General, Agricultural Policy & International Relations, Ministry of Rural Development & Food, Mr. Christoforos Hatzopoulos, Head of Business Banking & Retail Lending, National Bank of Greece, Dr. Yiannis N. Tzortzis, President, Just Transition Development Plan Legal Experts Committee, Mr. Alexandros Dimitrakopoulos, Regional Mandate Manager to the European Investment Fund. Mr. Anthony D. Papayannides, Journalist has moderated the session.

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Greece, Ms. Susanna Terstal, has opened Chapter-8 “Agriculture in view of synergies: the Dutch triple helix model”. Mr. Simos Kedikoglou, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Rural Development & Food, addressed a welcome note, while Dr. Meine Pieter van Dijk, Emeritus Professor of Universities of Rotterdam, Delft & Maastricht, Mr. Hans Nijhoff, Senior expert agribusiness development, Maastricht School of Management, Dr. Eleni Maloupa, Director Institute of Plant Breeding & Genetic Resources, ELGO Dimitra have presented the essentials of collaboration between farmers-research and businesses. Such close cooperation is the recipe of success of the Dutch “triple helix” model that made The Netherlands the 2^nd biggest agrifood power in the world.  Moderator was Ms. Rannia Savvaki, Senior Economic Policy Officer, Embassy of The Kingdom of the Netherlands.

AgriBusiness Forum 4^th international edition was concluded with Chapter-9 “Ahead climate crisis and net zero emissions adaptation”. Session focused on the challenges of the agrifood sector due to climate crisis, the future of food in terms of desertification, and the funding criteria that banks will be called to take into account for sustainable and green business strategies. Panelists: Dr. Konstantinos Aravossis, Secretary General Natural Environment & Water, Ministry of Environment & Energy, Mr. Kostis Moussouroulis, Chairman of the Steering Committee, Just Transition Development Plan, Dr. Dimitris Skuras, Vice Rector of Economics & Planning, Patras University, Ms. Tatiana Giemelou, Head Business Development sector, National Bank of Greece.
